With the tablebase generator endgame databases for 3,4 and 5-men can be generated.

For generating the tablebase for all 3 and 4-men Pirat will need approx. 3.5 hours. For the smallest 5-men (king and 3 queens against king) Pirat needs 29 MB free main memory. Generating this 5-man will take approx. 40 minutes. Generating a tablebase of more than 256MB main memory requirement will work on a WinNT computer (WinNT4.0, Win2000 or WinXP) only. The generation of tablebase with high main-memory requirement will need somewhere between few days up to several weeks, depending on the performance of your computer. However tablebases can be downloaded using the InterNet download-button.
