The print preview shows the print range of a selected sheet format. The print range is the range of a sheet that the printer actually can print. Usually a printer cannot print the edges of a sheet, at least the pirate-designer don’t know such printer. Pirat gets the print range information from the installed printer and its printer driver.

Example:

format=105x148mm

Using this format information the printer driver will inform Pirat that 135x98mm can be printed on the postcard only. In width 13mm can’t be printed. However whether the 13mm are divided equally (6.5mm on the left and right side each) or whether 1mm on the left and 12mm cant be printed will not be communicated by the printer-driver

That implies to all print modules:

Start with a left offset of 0cm (or right offset of 0 cm) and print the page. Check how much space is left and adjust your setting.

The ink jet printer stylus photo 790 by Epson was introduced 2/23/02 by the computer journal PC World, which is able to print single sides completely.  When printing no more white edges remains free.
