The Zip file contains 2 files: pirat.hlp and pirat.cnt. Both files should be installed in the Pirat-directory.

Endgame database:
The software does not include any endgame tablebase.
The software designer suggest to generate all 3 and 4-men (less than 30 Mb) by Pirat. With a compute power of 1Ghz the generation will require less than two hours.
As an alternative you will find the endgame tablebase under the following famous ftp-address:

There you will find also 5-men, however altogether will require 7GB disk-space We recommend to download only those 5-men, which you think are absolutely required. Probably you will be not interested in tablebase like king+queen+queen+queen vs king Its possible to generate all 5-men by Pirat as well. But it probably makes sense only in case you have at 3GHz compute power and 1 GB RAM. It may take up to several days to generate a tablebase..
